Castro and Cuba

The Times had an article (Nov. 25) about the United Nations refusing to support the U.S. embargo against Cuba. Did the world forget about the Cuban missile crisis in which our planet was going to be wiped out? The embargo has existed for almost 30 years so that the U.S. would know what type of products were entering Cuba. If the Clinton Administration decides to lift the embargo, it will be a great advantage for the Castro government, not for the Cuban people who need the basic necessities we take for granted.

I, as a U.S. citizen with a strong Cuban background, am 100% for the U.S. embargo of Cuba. Cuba libre .
