NLRB Rejects Company’s Labor-Management Committees: The National Labor Relations Board, ruling on a widely watched case, declared that an Indiana company violated federal law when it created labor-management committees to deal with employment problems. But the decision was crafted narrowly, dealing only with Electromation Inc., an electronic products maker. As a result, the ruling does not establish the broad precedent many labor lawyers had anticipated on the legality of labor-management groups.
