What would Christmas be without “The Nutcracker Suite,” that enduring holiday classic featuring the dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy and the Snow Queen? If you haven’t caught this Tchaikovsky masterpiece somewhere else--Dance Peninsula has its own version it performs at the Norris Theater for the Performing Arts in Rolling Hills Estates--consider Saturday’s presentation by the Carson-Dominguez Hills Symphony Orchestra.

The orchestra is putting on its Christmas family-oriented show, which will include a performance of the timeless holiday classic featuring the orchestra, under the direction of Dr. Frances Steiner, and the Dominguez Hills Ensemble.

The symphony also will perform the “Christmas Oratorio” by Camille Saint-Saens. Guest soloists will be sopranos Everlita David and Gloria Vande Hoef, alto Lenita McCallum, tenor John Dennison and bass Spud Covington.
