BIRD CALLS: When the swallows return to San Juan Capistrano March 19, they’ll get a more familial greeting. The City Council has changed the name of its six-day Heritage Festival to something more fitting to the swallows’ homeland of Argentina. . . . It will be the Fiesta de las Golondrinas. And yes, golondrinas is Spanish for swallows. Explains Councilwoman Carolyn Nash: “Fiesta de Las Golondrinas better fits our Spanish heritage.”
