Don’t Credit Ann Martin

Regarding that glowing letter about KABC’s Ann Martin (“Credit Ann Martin,” Dec. 5): Come on now, how much ability do you need to read words off a TelePrompTer? On a list of overpaid and underworked people, news anchors in large TV markets must be ranked very close to the top.
It would be nice if we spent less time fawning over ballplayers, news anchors and actors and, instead, directed our kudos at those people who make a truly meaningful contribution to our society.
