Arts and entertainment reports from The Times, national and international news services and the nation's press

Miracle Mile: As a symbol of Los Angeles coming together, a mile-long candlelight caroling procession has been added to Los Angeles County’s annual Christmas Eve Holiday Celebration this year. The procession will leave Glendale Boulevard and Temple Street at 6 p.m. on Thursday, caroling through neighborhoods and arriving at the Music Center for the finale of the 12-hour (9 a.m.-9 p.m.) holiday music marathon. Carolers can park at the Music Center and take a free shuttle bus to the assembly area between 5-6 p.m. . . . KCET will air the extravaganza, the “33rd Annual Los Angeles Holiday Celebration,” live from the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion. The theme of this year’s concert is multicultural harmony and healing.
