Official, 4 Others Die in Ecuador Plane Crash

QUITO, Ecuador —
A twin-engine plane crashed into a building in thick fog here Monday, killing the minister of information and tourism and the four other people on board, the government said.
Minister Pedro Zambrano, 53; his wife, Rita Velez; Deputy Minister Carlos Emilio Solorzano; an aide, and the pilot died when the Piper Seneca II plane crashed into a building under construction, a government spokesman said.
Seven construction workers at the building site were hurt.
