The following are selected entries from the crime logs of local law enforcement agencies between Dec. 14 and 20:

Glendale

South Brand Boulevard, 1100 block--A man and woman test-driving used cars fled in a new Dodge when the salesman exited the vehicle at 6:10 p.m. on Dec. 14. The woman was later arrested.

South Verdugo Road, 500 block--A woman waiting for a bus reported that her purse--with $120 in cash and a hand-held TV worth $120--was snatched by a man at 4:08 p.m. on Dec. 15.

San Fernando Road, 6700 block--During a sting operation at Glen Capri Motel on Dec. 16, between 12:30 and 4:30 p.m., two policewomen arrested nine men on suspicion of soliciting sex.

Broadway and Verdugo Road--A woman boarding a bus was accosted by a thief who pushed her and snatched her wallet, containing $50, at 1:10 p.m. on Dec. 16.

Broadway and Central Avenue--A woman walking with her children at 4:15 p.m. Dec. 16 discovered that someone on the bus or on the street had sliced open her purse and stolen her wallet. It contained $110 in cash and a check for $349.

East Palmer Avenue, 900 block--Two men threw a man to the ground and robbed him of a wallet, which contained $70, at 7:50 p.m. on Dec. 16.

Melrose Avenue, 1100 block--Four rims and three tires, valued at $1,800, were stolen from an unlocked garage between Dec. 16 and 18.

Western Avenue, 200 block--Burglars pried open the window of a house, ransacked the premises and stole jewelry of unknown value between 1 and 6 p.m. on Dec. 17.

North Glendale Avenue, 200 block--Two suspects were arrested for shooting a man in the face as he sat in his vehicle. The victim had been followed by the gunmen after leaving Robinson’s department store at 2:44 p.m. on Dec. 17.

East Wilson Avenue, 500 block--A business was burglarized, with the use of a key, on Dec. 17 or 18, and $5,110 in cash and checks were stolen.

Haan Avenue, 500 block--A 15-year-old boy was detained by police after stealing a Yorkshire Terrier valued at $600 from a woman’s yard at 1:30 p.m. on Dec. 18. Neighbors chased the youth before he released the dog.

Buckingham Road, 3000 block--A burglar pried open the bathroom window of a house and stole a rifle, stereo equipment, silver and jewelry, valued at $1,450, and an autographed picture of Theodore Roosevelt, valued at $3,000, between 7:30 a.m. and 8 p.m. on Dec. 18.

Brand Boulevard, 100 block--A man was arrested at 4:28 p.m. on Dec. 19 after he fled from Zales Jewelers in the Glendale Galleria with two diamond rings, valued at $7,090, in his mouth.

Foothill Boulevard, 3400 block--A man who said he had a gun robbed a Subway sandwich shop employee of $220 at 7:13 p.m. on Dec. 19.

Moorside Drive, 900 block--A gunman robbed a woman in her garage of a bag of groceries worth about $5 at 11:35 p.m. on Dec. 19.

Rancho Avenue, 1600 block--A woman motorist was robbed at knifepoint of $130 by three men after she stopped to look at a map at 10 a.m. on Dec. 20. The woman’s car had a “for sale” sign and the men asked to look at the vehicle when one brandished a knife.

Karen Lynn Drive, 4000 block--After a party at her home on Dec. 20, a woman noticed that jewelry, valued at $9,900, was missing from her bedroom.

La Canada/Flintridge

Alta Canyada Road, 5500 block--A VCR, camera equipment, a phone and tools, valued at $1,320, and $150 in cash, were stolen from a house between 9 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. on Dec. 17.

Castle Road, 4800 block--A man delivering pizza was robbed of $24 at 4:45 p.m. on Dec. 17 by a man with a handgun.

Sand Canyon Road--Burglars entered the barracks at the Oak Grove Ranger Station on Dec. 17 or 18, and stole two TVs, a VCR, a microwave oven and a toaster valued at $1,395.

La Canada Crest Drive, 2100 block-- Thieves broke into an apartment, ransacked the home and stole two guitars, a TV and a VCR, valued at $570, and jewelry of unknown value. The burglary occurred between 7:30 a.m. and 6:10 p.m. on Dec. 18.

Alcorn Drive, 4500 block--A garage was broken into on Dec. 19 or 20, and tools and a toolbox valued at $205 were stolen.

La Crescenta

Foothill Boulevard, 2600 block--Seventy-five shopping carts, valued at $4,875, were stolen from Ralph’s on Dec. 14 or 15.

Ocean View Boulevard, 4100 block--Two men were arrested at 1:20 a.m. on Dec. 18 for allegedly carrying concealed firearms in their vehicle. The men and their car were stopped when they matched the descriptions given after an armed robbery in Van Nuys.

Montrose

Barton Lane, 2300 block--Thieves entered a house through a doggie door and stole stereo equipment, a VCR, a computer system, a fax machine and jewelry, valued at $10,895, between 7:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. on Dec. 15.

Atwater Village

San Fernando Road, 3100 block--A man in a parking lot was robbed of money and jewelry, valued at $1,585, by a gunman at 8:15 p.m. on Dec. 14.

Riverside Drive, 2800 block--A thief entered an apartment through an open sliding door and stole jewelry valued at $3,225 between 8 a.m. and 12:35 p.m. on Dec. 15.

Crystal Springs Drive, 4700 block--A purse containing $21,815 was stolen from a car parked at a playground between 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. on Dec. 16.

Veselich Avenue, 3900 block--A woman in an apartment was stabbed to death by a man at 5:37 p.m. on Dec. 17.

Cypress Park

Figueroa Street and Avenue 26--A man was robbed of his vehicle at knifepoint by another man at 11:05 p.m. Dec. 15.

Figueroa Street and Avenue 26--A man held a knife to a man’s side and robbed him of money and jewelry, valued at $232, at 1 p.m. on Dec. 18.

Eagle Rock

Neola Street, 900 block--Jewelry and video equipment, valued at $10,050, were stolen from a house between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. On Dec. 14.

Echo Park

Elysian Park Avenue and Sunset Boulevard--Two men stole a Honda after test-driving the car and forcing the salesman out of the vehicle at noon on Dec. 16.

McCollum Street, 1300 block--Two men robbed a woman on the street of her purse and money, valued at $70, at 8 p.m. on Dec. 18.

Echo Park Avenue, 1500 block-- A man involved in a bar fight was shot to death by two men who returned to the bar with a handgun at 8:15 p.m. on Dec. 19.

Sunset Boulevard and Dillon Street--A man who refused three robbers was stabbed twice and robbed of video equipment valued at $450 at 12:30 a.m. on Dec. 20.

McDuff Street, 1400 block--A woman was stabbed by a robber during a struggle for her purse at 3 p.m. on Dec. 20. The thief fled with her purse valued at $50.

Glassell Park

Glenalbyn Drive, 4200 block--Computer equipment and business machines valued at $6,500 were stolen from a house between noon and 3 p.m. on Dec. 15.

Avenue 40, 3700 block--Money and a TV, valued at $1,325, were stolen from a restaurant on Dec. 15 or 16.

Highland Park

West Avenue 45, 400 block--Thieves kicked open a side door of a house and stole money and a TV, valued at $3,380, between 8:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. on Dec. 14.

Avenue 54 and Aldama Street--Five men, one with a handgun, robbed a man on the street of money and a radio, valued at $67, at 3:25 p.m. on Dec. 16.

York Boulevard, 6400 block--Three men brandishing shotguns robbed a gas station attendant of $200 at 7:45 p.m. on Dec. 16.

York Boulevard, 5500 block--Two men were arrested after robbing an employee of $120 at 8:50 p.m. on Dec. 16.

North Avenue 57, 700 block--Burglars kicked open the rear door of a home and stole jewelry valued at $3,150 between 7 a.m. and 6:45 p.m. on Dec. 17.

Crane Boulevard, 400 block--Thieves entered a house via a pet door, ransacked a bedroom and stole firearms and camera equipment, valued at $3,640, between 7:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Dec. 17.

York Boulevard, 5000 block--A fast-food restaurant employee was robbed at gunpoint of $150 at 5:30 p.m. on Dec. 17.

Eagle Rock Boulevard, 4000 block--Video and telephone equipment, valued at $3,499, were stolen from an apartment between 5:30 and 8:30 p.m. on Dec. 17.

Branch Street, 300 block--A woman in a driveway was robbed at gunpoint of her vehicle at 9 p.m. on Dec. 17 by a man who fled with another man in her car.

Avenue 45 and Figueroa Street--Two men with a toy gun robbed a man in a parking lot of his keys and his vehicle at 10 a.m. on Dec. 18.

York Boulevard, 5000 block--Four men robbed a man in a parking lot of his wallet and telephone, valued at $195, at 11:45 p.m. on Dec. 18. One of the robbers was armed with a gun.

Marmion Way and Avenue 55--A male bicyclist was robbed of $220 by a gunman at 1:10 p.m. on Dec. 19.

West Avenue 45, 100 block--A market clerk was robbed of $2,600 by a man who handed her a note demanding money at 5:20 p.m. on Dec. 19.

Los Feliz

Finley Avenue, 4400 block--A man robbed a woman of her purse containing $270 after striking up a conversation with her on the street at 5:45 p.m. on Dec. 14. He fled in a vehicle.

Griffith Park Drive, 4900 block--Four men, one with a gun, entered a male motorist’s car at a playground, drove two miles, robbed the victim of his wallet, pushed him out of the car and fled at 7 p.m. on Dec. 15.

North Vermont Avenue, 1500 block--A man who may have had a gun under his shirt presented a robbery note and stole $250 from a clothing store at 12:45 p.m. on Dec. 17.

North Vermont Avenue, 1700 block--A woman in a parking lot was robbed at gunpoint of her purse and wallet, which contained $585, at 3:10 p.m. on Dec. 17.

Monon Street, 3700 block--Burglars removed the lock and plate from a garage and stole tools and other property, valued at $1,640, between 4 and 11 p.m. Dec. 17.

Herkimer Street, 2800 block--A key may have been used to burglarize a house on Dec. 18 or 19 when video and stereo equipment, valued at $8,700, were stolen.

Santa Monica Boulevard, 4900 block--On Dec. 19 or 20, $1,333 was stolen from an office safe.

Mt. Washington

Moon Avenue, 800 block--Burglars stole a TV and video equipment, valued at $2,169, from a house between 2:30 and 9:15 p.m. on Dec. 16.

Silver Lake

Allesandro Street, 1600 block--Burglars picked the lock of a swap meet vendor and stole clothing and tools, valued at $1,346, between Dec. 14 and 16.
