Money Market Funds’ Assets Tumble: Assets of the nation’s 614 retail money market mutual funds fell $3.79 billion in the latest week to $382.38 billion, the Investment Company Institute said. Assets of the 384 taxable money market funds in the retail category fell by $3.43 billion to $302.98 billion for the week ended Wednesday, the Washington-based mutual fund trade group said. The 230 tax-exempt funds’ assets fell by $356.60 million to $79.40 billion.
