El Salvador Debt
In response to “Salvadorans Celebrate End of 12-Year War” (Dec. 16): That’s great!
But who gave Vice President Dan Quayle and the United States the OK to forgive a $466 million debt? Not the U.S. citizens, not the schools. What a shame so many things here in the U.S. are suffering (especially our school system for a lack of funds) and we’re forgiving a half-billion-dollar debt. It does not make sense!
