Review Was Misleading

In all fairness to the cast and crew of “Christmas on Broadway,” reviewer Todd Everett failed to mention several things about the evening he attended the show:

First, Mr. Everett attended the gala premiere on Saturday evening, which was a charity benefit for AIDS Care of Ventura. The evening included a preshow champagne reception, opening night acknowledgments and a 35-minute intermission, including a fashion show. Minus the opening night bells and whistles, the actual show came in as scheduled at two hours and 22 minutes, not the marathon 3 1/2 hours Mr. Everett claims.

Second, those who left at intermission did so because of the icy cold weather that followed the previous evening’s rainstorm. The theater is located in an old brick building with no insulation.

Finally, it was pre-planned to trim the show after opening night and several numbers were later excised.
