Lawrence B. Wilson, 80, a veteran State Department officer who was posted to India as cultural affairs adviser to Ambassador Chester Bowles and who later co-founded Superior Escrow Co., one of Los Angeles’ largest privately owned escrow companies. A former vice president of First Interstate Bank, he also was a professor of political science at Redlands University and California State University, Los Angeles.
