Palomar Ballroom

I enjoyed your excellent photos and story (Dec. 14) on the old Palomar Ballroom.
It was a delight to see the picture of the 1935 Hudson-Metzger dancers and spot my late wife, Irma, in the center, sixth girl from the left. She worked with the Benny Goodman, Dick Jurgens and Artie Shaw bands, dating Jurgens’ popular singer at the time, Eddy Howard (who wrote the top hit “Till the End of Time”), and one of that band’s arrangers, Lew Quadling (who wrote the great old standard “Careless”).
Thanks for the memories.
