‘Lethal Lolita’

I see network TV is in a struggle to be numero uno in sleaze, as witness their offerings of “Lethal Lolita” (“The Race to Get ‘Lethal Lolita’ Case on TV,” Dec. 22).

Is there no one in our so-called entertainment industry who can make a picture that is uplifting and motivating instead of devaluing and dehumanizing, which seems to be the norm in Hollywood? Is it not obvious that this constant barrage of violence and immoral behavior of every kind has a destructive effect on society? All you have to do is read your newspaper to understand that America has an obsession with death.

Don’t bother Hollywood with the fact that we have the most violent society of any industrialized nation. After all, what is important is their cash flow and not our blood flow.
