Man Arrested in Shooting
Police arrested a man after a shooting believed to be gang-related, a spokesman said Saturday.
The shooting occurred about 2 p.m. Friday in the 100 block of West Olive Avenue, according to Sgt. Bob Wyse. Sergio Estrada, 18, of Orange was wounded in the stomach.
Officers said they arrested Jose Jesus Lopez, 18, of La Habra later Friday as he allegedly was attempting to flee in his car “at a high rate of speed.”
He was booked into the La Habra City Jail on a charge of carrying a concealed weapon in a motor vehicle. Pending further investigation, Lopez has not been linked to the shooting, police said.
