Eight Buildings Get Preservation Award
Eight preservation projects in Los Angeles were given the 1992 Historic Preservation Awards by Mayor Tom Bradley and the city of Los Angeles Cultural Heritage Commission.
Winners were the Strong Residence, and houses at 1057 S. Alvira St. and 1100 S. La Jolla Ave., housing category; Japanese-American National Museum, institutional; Hollyhock House Living Room Furniture, government; Watts Towers Restoration, special mention, government; Bradbury Building Atrium and Engine Company 28, commercial.
