Ezra Taft Benson Leaves Hospital

SALT LAKE CITY —
Mormon Church President Ezra Taft Benson was released Friday from a hospital where he had been treated for pneumonia.
The 93-year-old leader of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints was hospitalized Dec. 31. A church news release said Benson will continue to convalesce at home.
Benson, who has been leader of the 8.4-million-member church since 1985, has suffered from declining health in recent years.
