RELIGION AND POLITICS

Share

The Religious Right’s real goal is not only to take over the GOP but also to purge from the party Republicans who do not fall into line with the group’s social-religious agenda of intolerance. As a member of the California Republican Party Central Committee--and a GOP activist since 1984 who has been through state party battles, volunteer-organization fights and contested U.S. Senate primaries--I know firsthand that if you don’t agree with the Religious Right’s agenda, you may be told that you’re not a real Republican, that you should become a Democrat.

Sorry, guys! We traditional Republicans are still Republicans, and we are ready to fight your agenda precinct by precinct, state by state.
