CYPRESS : Police Find Stolen Goods, Arrest Man
A 22-year-old Cypress man was arrested on suspicion of receiving stolen property early Sunday morning and police recovered a stolen car and belongings believed to have been taken in five local burglaries.
Police received a telephone call about 4:50 a.m. Sunday reporting a suspicious person parked in a car in the 4100 block of Paseo de Oro, said Cypress Police Sgt. Mike Idom. Officers responding to the call arrested Douglas Allen Sayer, 22, who was seated in the driver’s seat of a car that had been reported stolen.
Officers also found clothing, stereos and other items that they determined had been taken in five burglaries in Cypress and Los Alamitos, Idom said.
Sayer was arrested on suspicion of receiving stolen property and was being held on $10,000 bail in Cypress City Jail.
