Peter Lewis, 43, was headed south on Colfax Avenue about 11:55 p.m. Thursday when he ran off the road and struck a light pole near Chiquita Street, Officer John Baby said. Passenger Larry Martinez, 41, of Warwick, N.Y., was killed in the crash.
