COUNTYWIDE : Party Planned to Mark Inauguration

Democrats United of Ventura County expect up to 200 people to attend a party the group is throwing in Ventura on Wednesday to celebrate the inauguration of Bill Clinton as President.

The event, which is open to the public, will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. at the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Union Hall, 3994 E. Main St. A $10 donation will be requested of those who attend.

Ventura County Supervisor John Flynn has been invited to emcee the event. Clinton’s inauguration and address, taped earlier that day, will be replayed.

“This will be a day not just for Democrats to celebrate, but for the entire nation,” said Nels Henderson, chairman of the Ventura County Democratic Central Committee. For information, call 648-7150.
