New York Yankees reliever Steve Howe is being sued by his attorneys for unpaid legal bills.
Attorneys Pat Sherlock and Stephen Nardi claim that Howe owes them $31,847 in fees stemming from his December 1991 drug arrest.
Howe pleaded guilty last June to a federal misdemeanor charge of attempting to possess cocaine. He was sentenced to three years’ probation, fined $1,000 and ordered to perform 100 hours of community service. A second charge against him was dropped.
