CANOGA PARK : Suspect in Slaying Robs Clothing Store
A gunman police believe may have killed a pizza parlor manager last week robbed a TJ Maxx clothing store at Winnetka Avenue and Sherman Way, police said Wednesday.
The gunmen entered the store about 5 p.m. Tuesday, fired one shot into the ceiling, then pointed his handgun at a clerk and demanded money, said Detective Bob Johansen. After getting it, he fled.
Police believe that the robber is one of the same men who last Thursday shot and killed John Holden, 19, the night manager of Ameci Pizza & Pasta in Porter Ranch, Johansen said.
The Los Angeles City Council is offering a $25,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of the two robbers in the Holden slaying.
