Anaheim Man Arrested in Fatal Shooting

ANAHEIM — A 21-year-old man was being held on suspicion of murder Sunday in connection with the slaying of another man in a restaurant parking lot.
Shortly before 2 a.m., Anaheim police officers were in the area of the La Copa de Oro restaurant at 2415 W. Lincoln when they heard gunshots. They found a man in a car with a gunshot wound and saw another man fleeing, police said.
After a search of the area, officers said they found the suspect hiding in a nearby apartment complex. Jose Aguirre Baltazar of Anaheim was being held Sunday on suspicion of attempted murder.
Police said they have been unable to identify the victim, who was pronounced dead at 1:32 p.m. at UCI Medical Center.
