The Region : Off-Ramp Back in Service

Share

After completing extensive repairs prompted by a mudslide, the California Department of Transportation on Sunday reopened the Linda Vista Avenue off-ramp for eastbound traffic on the Ventura Freeway (134).

Rainstorms Jan. 12 caused an estimated $800,000 in damage around the Ventura Freeway off-ramp near the Rose Bowl when about 30,000 cubic yards of terrain washed out from a slope.

State highway workers, after replacing two lengthy sections of large storm drains, restored the hillside and repaired the damage to the roadway area.
