La Puente : Night Use of Park Curtailed
The city has restricted the hours of operation at La Puente Park in an attempt to curtail graffiti and other vandalism.
In a 5-0 vote, the City Council on Tuesday gave final approval to a measure that prohibits use of the public park from 11 p.m. to 6 a.m. daily.
The action will allow sheriff’s deputies to remove people from the park during the restricted hours, when much of the last year’s vandalism to buildings and play equipment has occurred.
The new hours of operation take effect Feb. 25.
