Harrick Under Fire: Critics Cite Loss to Cal, Others See Big Picture

Share

Just came home from Pauley Pavilion, where I witnessed the saddest moment of my life. With all the NCAA championship flags hanging from the rafter, the Bruins stunk up the whole pavilion. The crowd of old wasn’t there. I happened to glance at John Wooden squirming. Wonder what went through his mind.

Come on, Peter Dalis, enough is enough. Jim Harrick might be good in the lower division, but not at this level. He can’t recruit and blue-chip players don’t want to play for him. Can you blame them? He was lucky to get O’Bannon and Tarver. They chose UNLV first--and they should have stayed there.
