Kansas City Voters OK Riverboat Casino Plans

KANSAS CITY —
Voters in Kansas City and North Kansas City have approved plans to offer riverboat gambling on the Missouri River.
Kansas City voters on Tuesday endorsed a $75-million Hilton Hotels Corp. proposal, while North Kansas City voters approved a $50-million plan from Promus Cos.
Each proposal is subject to approval by a city council.
