Harmony Holdings Starts New Division
Harmony Holdings, a producer of television commercials and the music used in them, has started a division that will concentrate on animation, mixed media and special effects for commercials.
The Burbank-based company said its new division, Curious Pictures, will be based in New York and run by animator Steve Oakes. Oakes has directed commercials featuring such characters as the Pillsbury Doughboy and the Trix cereal rabbit.
Curious Pictures has 10 employees and plans to increase its staff with an unspecified number of graphic design-oriented directors.
