For the second consecutive day, the New York Yankees won a salary arbitration case when pitcher John Habyan was denied. On Friday, the Yankees won their case against pitcher Jim Abbott.
In a case that did not go to a hearing, St. Louis Cardinal pitcher Bob Tewksbury agreed to a one-year contract worth $2,625,000.
