Carlsbad’s Taylor Knox won his second consecutive event on the 1993 Bud Surf Tour, edging Richie Collins of Newport Beach in the final seconds of the Body Glove Open at Pismo Beach.

Knox scored an impressive 9.5 out of a possible 10 on his final wave with only 30 seconds remaining to defeat Collins in a 3-2 split decision.

Santa Barbara’s Chris Brown placed third with Dino Andino of San Clemente in fourth.
