MISSION VIEJO LAGUNA NIGUEL : Major Interchange Will Be Improved
Although they have not been able to decide who will build a regional train station, city officials in Laguna Niguel and Mission Viejo will work together to rebuild a major thoroughfare in both cities.
The Mission Viejo City Council last week approved a cooperative agreement with Laguna Niguel to rebuild heavily traveled Crown Valley Parkway at the Interstate 5 interchange.
Under the contract, Laguna Niguel will contribute $150,000 to the project--funds that the city will receive from developers of the Costco Warehouse Center.
Laguna Niguel officials will have the opportunity to approve designs for the interchange renovation. Mission Viejo will remain the lead agency in developing plans.
