Men’s basketball: Antelope Valley guard Danny Prince was tied for second with Barstow’s Wesley Reed in the Foothill Conference with 44 three-point baskets before Wednesday’s game. Teammate John Puckett was fifth with 35. . . . Also going into Wednesday’s game, the Marauders had the second-best margin of victory in conference games at nine points. San Bernardino Valley leads with an average margin of 12.

Women’s basketball: Sasha Garrison of Antelope Valley was still in the chase for the Foothill Conference scoring title going into Wednesday’s game against Citrus. Garrison, who leads the Marauders in practically every offensive category as well as in rebounds, had scored 187 points to trail Ann Tafolla of Chaffey, who had 194 points, and Michelle Victorian of Mt. San Jacinto, who had 189 points. Antelope Valley plays host to Chaffey in the conference finale Friday.

Baseball: Two coaches in their 16th seasons with their teams are getting closer to 300 career victories. Ventura’s Gary Anglin has 293 victories and Glendale’s Steve Coots has 289. Both could improve on that with victories in Western State Conference games today. Ventura (3-2, 1-0 in conference play) is at home against Moorpark (4-4, 1-0) and Glendale (5-2, 1-0) is at Valley (2-5, 1-0). Anglin was the WSC coach of the year last season after guiding Ventura to a second-place finish behind Pierce.
