Russell T. Lewis has been appointed president and general manager of the New York Times. Lewis succeeds Lance R. Primis, who was named president and chief operating officer of the newspaper’s parent company, the New York Times Co., in September.
In his new position, Lewis, 45, will be responsible for the newspaper’s business activities. His most recent position was executive vice president and deputy general manager.
