IT’S OFFICIAL: The war between Huntington Beach and Santa Cruz over which is the real “Surf City” may not matter so much anymore. Huntington Beach now has a federal trademark on it. The surfer on the city logo will soon do double duty on a new “Surf City” logo that will be plastered on T-shirts, caps, stickers, and buttons. Says city official Ron Hagan: “We hope residents and tourists will get into a real ‘Surf City’ lifestyle.”
