Silver Lake Architect Finalist in Competition
Architect Roger M. Yanagita of Silver Lake is one of four finalists in a statewide competition to design the California Veterans Memorial in Sacramento Park.
Yanagita, who formed his own architectural firm in 1985, also won last year’s competition to design the Japanese-American World War II Veterans Memorial, which will be built in the Little Tokyo section of downtown Los Angeles.
The winner of the California Veterans project will be chosen by the memorial commission and a committee of artists and architects.
