OJAI VALLEY : Liver Transplant Recipient Is Home
Fourteen-year-old Aaron Clement, who inspired the Ojai Valley to raise $112,000 to help pay for his liver transplant surgery, was released from the hospital Wednesday, officials said.
Aaron’s sister, Terra, 13, said the family’s Ojai home was decorated with balloons and signs welcoming Aaron home Wednesday evening.
Aaron underwent seven hours of surgery at UCLA Medical Center on Feb. 6 to replace his cancerous liver with a healthy one from an unknown Southern California donor.
