Countywide : Black History Group to Stage Exposition

Share

The Black History Parade may have been canceled for the second year in a row, but that doesn’t mean African-Americans can’t celebrate this year.

The Orange County Black Historical Commission will still sponsor a Unity Exposition on Sunday in Tustin, featuring actor Roger E. Mosley of the “Hanging With Mr. Cooper” and “Magnum, PI” television shows as master of ceremonies. Carmella Vann, Miss City of Tustin, will co-host.

The exposition will include live entertainment, ethnic food, African clothing and craft items, and information and display booths on the county’s black organizations. The exposition’s hours are from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday at the Tustin Senior Citizens Center, next to Peppertree Park, 200 S. C St.

The parade was canceled this year because arrangements couldn’t be made in time, officials said.
