LANCASTER : Ex-Azusa Official Hired by Fair Board
Bruce Latta, a former Azusa city councilman, has been hired as the new manager of the Antelope Valley Fair in Lancaster, officials said.
Latta, 42, a program manager for the California Expo and State Fair, was selected from a field of more than 90 candidates. The fair’s governing board is expected to complete an agreement with Latta at its March 11 meeting.
Latta previously held fair jobs in Hemet and in Orange, Riverside and Los Angeles counties. Latta will succeed Jim Pacini, who resigned after 3 1/2 years in November, reportedly under pressure from the fair board.
Latta was on the Azusa City Council from 1982 until 1990.
