Story Fuels Site’s Infamy
If Rodney King had not decided to abandon his freeway flight from the police in Lake View Terrace two years ago, we might still be living in a pleasant, rural, little-known horse-keeping community.
Now, thanks to your reporting (“King Arrest Site Becomes Odd Landmark” Times Valley Edition, Feb. 21), we have attained infamy. You seem almost to be inviting an anniversary “incident” in the article, complete with map and flippant comments from local bar patrons. There are a lot of residents here that call this irresponsible journalism.
