A Ventura teen-ager accused of stabbing a student on the Buena High School campus last week was ordered Monday to stand trial on a charge of assault with a deadly weapon.

The 17-year-old, who has not been identified because of his age, will be tried as a juvenile in a proceeding scheduled for April 18, Deputy Dist. Atty. Patricia J. Kelliher said. He is accused of stabbing Jeremy Addison, 18, during a fight in the school parking lot Wednesday.

Superior Court Judge Steven Z. Perren released the boy to the custody of his parents pending the trial, Kelliher said. Addison, whose lung was punctured by the stab wound, was released Friday from Ventura County Medical Center.
