BON VOYAGE: No more tiresome drives to Newport. South County will have its own ferryboats to Catalina Island as soon as April, thanks to Avalon’s approval of the new service. . . . SeaJet USA says its 105-foot, 150-passenger boats will leave Dana Wharf Fridays through Sundays at 8:30 a.m. and return at 4:30 p.m. at a cost of $43 round trip. “Daily service comes later,” a spokesman says.
