Federal judge David Doty rejected an appeal by Washington Redskins linebacker Wilber Marshall to have the franchise player category dropped from the proposed settlement between the NFL and its players.
In a copy of the letter obtained by the Washington Post, Doty wrote that, although he was denying the linebacker’s request, Marshall was free to submit additional material to support his case before an on April 16 hearing.
