SAN FERNANDO VALLEY : 4 Sites Selected for Concert Shuttle

Share

Four park-and-ride lots for summer concerts at the Hollywood Bowl will be located in the San Fernando Valley.

The shuttle program, which is aimed at reducing traffic around the bowl and has been in operation since 1974, was used by nearly one-third of bowl concert patrons last year. It will be partly funded through transportation grants and sales tax funds, leaving the cost per person between $2 and $4, depending on the distance. The Valley locations will be Rockwell International, Nordhoff Street and De Soto Avenue in Canoga Park; the Sunkist Building, 14130 Riverside Drive, Sherman Oaks; on Ventura Boulevard between Vineland Avenue and Lankershim Boulevard in Studio City, and Barham Boulevard and Forest Lawn Road near Universal City.
