WOODLAND HILLS : Bus Kills Person Lying on Freeway
An unidentified person lying on the roadway was struck and killed by a bus on the eastbound Ventura Freeway, California Highway Patrol officials said Friday.
Details on the victim, including gender and age, were unavailable because of the condition of the body, CHP Sgt. Kent Kilgore said. The accident occurred about 8:15 p.m. about 200 feet west of De Soto Avenue and slowed traffic for about an hour. “The early indication was that the person probably was laying in the slow traffic lane when he was hit,” Kilgore said. The bus was a chartered vehicle that was not carrying passengers.
