In a lawsuit filed in Maricopa County Superior Court less than a year after he was hit in the head by a foul ball, former Angel pitcher Matt Keough alleges he was severely injured because there was no protective screen in front of the dugouts at Scottsdale Stadium.

The lawsuit against the city of Scottsdale, the stadium’s architect and the stadium’s general contractor seeks unspecified damages, but attorney Charles Brewer said a claim was lodged last Friday seeking nearly $11 million in damages for Keough, 37, his wife, Jeana, and their three children.
