School Counselors
The Times and writer Larry Gordon are to be commended for your recent article describing the results of recent cuts in credentialed school counselors and counseling services in California. As we are sure your readers are aware, underfunding of our state education system has had a devastating impact on school counseling services across the state. Perhaps as a result of an honest account of how underfunding directly affects students we can work to build a consensus that would lead to increased funding and a willingness to increase credentialed school counselors and counseling services at a time when they are especially needed.
