College: Orange Coast

Sport: Swimming

Class: Freshman

Ferguson’s journey to Orange Coast has been a long one. He was born and raised in South Africa and came to the United States to compete at Nebraska. But when that didn’t work out he continued west to Orange Coast.

Over the weekend, Ferguson continued to established himself as one of the top swimmers in the state by winning three events at the Cuesta Invitational, the top meet in California before the State championships in May.

Ferguson took first in the 200 individual medley in 1:58.20, the 100 breaststroke in 59.11 and the 200 breaststroke in 2:08.64. His time in the 200 breaststroke was the best in the state this season. His other times were both second best, only he has bettered them.
