SAN CLEMENTE : Authorities Identify Drowning Victim
Coroner’s investigators on Friday identified a man whose body was found floating off San Clemente this week.
The body of Robert J. Bowman, 72, of Mission Viejo, who drowned, was discovered late Wednesday south of the Municipal Pier, coroner’s investigator William King said.
King said investigators are trying to determine why Bowman, a lawyer, drowned.
A passerby spotted the body about 10:40 p.m. floating near the shoreline. Investigators said he had been in the water only a few hours. Coroner’s officials do not suspect foul play, King said.
