A Moving Tribute to Iowa’s Street
Whoever said that sports is the toy department of life or the news has only to stop and read the touching piece that Chris Dufresne wrote on the death of Iowa basketball star Chris Street (March 17).
Although I follow sports daily, I could not recall the details about Chris Street. That was until I read, or tried to read, the bittersweet words and testimonials to Street. I must sadly admit I found it too emotionally charged to complete.
Dufresne’s article gave me a real sense of the love and the loss that Street’s life and death inspired.
